At the very end of last month, Sberbank held a very large competition for the purchase of servers with a total amount of more than 7.5 billion rubles, in which they took part as a Russian company represented by Aquarius and KNS Group (YADRO trademark), as well as Inspur, Huawei and Lenovo brands from China.

However, the submitted applications from domestic elections by Sberbank were rejected due to non-compliance with the required technical parameters. What exactly did not suit Sberbank is not specified.

This information has already been confirmed by KNS Group, specifying that Sber reported that it was refusing protection, since it does not correspond to “one of the protections”. At the same time, Aquarius refuses to comment on the refusal of its application.

Sber will buy Chinese, not domestic servers

In this case, we are probably talking about x86 server servers, while at the end of last year “Saving” there were frequently encountered servers built on Russian processors of the Elbrus line, which ultimately also did not pass the test in terms of compliance with the required technical specifications.

At the same time, if Sberbank concludes a contract with suppliers from the Middle Kingdom, it will demand a reduction in the price offered under the contract by 30%, which will be controlled by a sample service.
