The Tagansky district magistrate registered a protocol in the case of Google for refusing to comply with the order of Roskomnadzor (RKN). The company could face a fine of up to 6 million rubles, RIA Novosti was told in court.

“A protocol has been registered against Google LLC, drawn up under article 19.7.10-4 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (non-compliance by the owner of a social network with the instructions of the federal executive body), ” said the agency’s interlocutor.
The sanction of the article provides for a fine of up to 6 million rubles. The protocol was registered by the judge of the 422nd district court of first instance, the date of its consideration has not yet been set.
Google has received fines in Russia more than once, including negotiable fines. For the first time, the court imposed a turnover fine of 7.2 billion rubles on Google in December 2021, also due to the failure to remove information prohibited in Russia. In the summer of 2022, the company received a second turnover fine in the amount of 21,077 million rubles.
In October 2023, Google received a third fine of 4.6 billion rubles for repeatedly refusing to remove information prohibited in Russia.
