Previously, users could bypass SafeSearch restrictions using special extensions that interact with the VKontakte API. These extensions made it possible to find content hidden in normal search. However, the developers of the social network noticed this flaw and fixed it.
Now even if you try to use extensions that worked before, they won’t work.
This decision caused mixed reactions: some welcomed it and believe that it will help make the social network safer for children and teenagers. Others express their dissatisfaction with being deprived of the opportunity to independently choose what content they want to see.
