Teng hopes that most US regulators will recognize cryptocurrencies when a Republican returns to the White House, he told the Financial Times. And his opinion is largely shared by the heads of other crypto platforms: Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, Galaxy Digital founder Michael Novogratz, and others.
Concerns expressed by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) also show that experts expect greater concessions for cryptocurrencies. In particular, the SEC fears that they will be removed from regulating the industry. Control will be entrusted to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and this can be equated with a relaxation of regulation.
As the numbers show, Trump’s victory has already begun to have an impact on the cryptocurrency market: on Friday afternoon, Bitcoin broke a record, surpassing $77 thousand.
The American space industry is no less positive. Everyone knows the mutual influence that Donald Trump and Elon Musk have on each other. But not only the owner of SpaceX is happy.
“I’m very optimistic about what’s happening in space right now,” Michelle Hanlon, executive director of the Center for Air and Space Law at the University of Mississippi School of Law, told Business Insider..
Their confidence stems from Trump’s first presidency, when his administration founded the Space Force, relaunched the National Space Council and launched NASA’s Artemis program.
But space is not the only area in which Trump and Musk share interests. They also want to reduce government regulation.
“There are a lot of useless and unnecessary rules in government that need to get rid of,” Musk wrote on X after Trump joked that he could put the billionaire in charge of a new “Department of Government Efficiency.”
The mutual affection between the president and the businessman is evident: In his victory speech on election night, Trump praised Musk for the SpaceX spacecraft, and Musk even participated in a telephone conversation between the presidents of Ukraine and the United States.
