MTS Yurent also gave importance to safety within the scope of its Safe Scooter Year strategy. This year the company has significantly increased penalties for traffic violations for driving while drunk and transferring the account to minors by up to 100 thousand rubles. In total, approximately 63 thousand fines have been issued and more than 12 thousand accounts have been blocked in Moscow since the beginning of the season. The main violations were illegal parking and driving together, which accounted for nearly 80% of all fines.

The company enlisted the help of law enforcement, city cameras and security consultants working at 110 locations around the city to identify violators. MTS Yurent also introduced a system of individual numbers for scooters, which makes it possible to more accurately track violations.

The company also introduced its new Yurent 2.0 scooters, which are more stable at low speeds and reduce the number of accidents in dense crowds. In the future, these scooters will be equipped with predictive safety devices.

Yurent also improved the infrastructure to improve the safety of MTS: together with other operators, a bicycle lane was installed on Tsvetnoy Boulevard and more than 4 thousand parking spaces for scooters were installed.
