According to the consulting firm CORE.XP, cited by Kommersant, most of the new brands come from China and South Korea (HEA, Balabala, Baasploa, Ellasay), a total of 11 chains, which increased the share of countries to 55 %.
IBC Real Estate adds that among new Asian brands it leads the fashion segment (69%). There is also demand for equipment and electronics.
Brands from Türkiye are also appearing on the market, but their share has decreased to 10%: only two new chains have appeared in the Russian Federation: Chakra and Mai Collection. The CIS countries also reduced their penetration rate in the Russian market, to 4% of the total share.
For comparison: in 2023, 22 new brands arrived in Russia, specifically from Türkiye and the EU. At that time, only one South Korean brand appeared: inni clothing and shoes. EU companies have not completely disappeared from the horizon, their share is 25%, and there are newcomers here too, for example, the Italian chains Parpa and Rinascimento and the Spanish Bimba and Lola.
