In the appeal, the OPI mentions that cases of detection of larvae in canned fish have become more frequent. Also in recent months, news about mass poisonings, for example with marshmallows, has periodically appeared. Botulism outbreaks were observed in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod in the summer, and now victims are demanding up to 2 million rubles per person from Samokat and Kitchen in the district.
