Yandex announced new devices for setting up smart lighting in any home: updated light bulbs and new switches and relays.
The device now runs on the Matter protocols over Wi-Fi and Zigbee, which ensures their operation even without the Internet. What’s new? Let’s figure it out.
Updated Matter light bulbs via Wi-Fi
All current models have received an updated design, and three new lamps have been added:
► RGB lamp with GX53 base for suspended ceilings
► E27 filament lamp for chandelier with warm and cold light
► bright E27 RGB lamp for large rooms
New and updated versions of now light bulbs work on the Matter protocol.
Matter allows you to connect multiple devices to your smart home via Wi-Fi, even without Internet access. New lighting scenarios have also appeared: “dawn”, “sunset” and circadian light modes for convenient switching between activity and relaxation.
Smart switches for control beyond just voice
Wireless switches operate without a power connection and are available with one or two keys. They reported up to 12 cases (work like smart buttons) control of various devices, for example, turning off the lights in the entire room before going to bed or starting a robot vacuum cleaner when leaving the house.
Wired switches combine the functions of a relay and a switch, corresponding to these phenomena and using a universal mode that allows you to control the light from anywhere in the house.
Smart relay for upgrading existing light
The relay is installed on a standard switch, does not require changes in wiring and allows make any light smart.
It supports voice control through the app and settings. For example, you can set the light to turn on slightly when you open the doors.
All switches and relays work via the Zigbee protocol – they are energy efficient, and their batteries last for several years.
