“This is because 2021 in Russia has become a lean year for potato varieties, which are used for the production of potato chips at network companies. For the past 8 years, the company has focused on Russian suppliers and purchased products from them. Furthermore, it became impossible to import from markets that could become temporary suppliers of potatoes for companies in Russia,” the company explained to RBC.
They reported that potatoes will appear on the full menu in the fall of 2022. The company predicts that such difficulties await other market players.
As of June 12, the companies of the former McDonald's restaurant in Russia began to work under Vkusno, and that is the key brand. The general director of the new chain, Oleg Paroev, warned that not all menus will be available to diners in the first stage, due to logistical difficulties.
