Updating the software on your smartphone can help extend battery life; because new software versions often include improvements to make better use of the battery. As Anton Vishnevsky, director of MegaFon’s mobile equipment department, notes, updating applications also helps save battery.
The expert advises you not to forget to close applications running in the background, as they can significantly consume battery power. He also stated that for optimum battery performance, full charge and discharge cycles should be avoided as this can shorten the life of the battery.
To extend battery life, it is better to connect your smartphone to the network when the charge level drops to 20%, and turn it off when it reaches 80%. The expert also recommends limiting the use of the fast charging function, as this can create an additional load on the battery.
