The Investigation Commission opened a case under Article 109 of the Penal Code (causing death by negligence). According to investigators, on November 21, a metal structure fell on a 22-year-old girl due to strong winds, and the victim died instantly due to the injuries received. Investigators ordered a forensic examination and the investigation is ongoing.

The Moscow Region prosecutor’s office also launched an investigation into the death of the Ozon employee, the department’s Telegram channel reported. It will establish the circumstances and causes of the tragedy, as well as evaluate compliance with legal requirements and the actions of the officials responsible for the maintenance of the territory.

The Ozon press service confirmed to RB.RU the information about the death of a market employee. “We offer our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased and will provide them with the necessary support. “The security service understands the details of the incident and will cooperate with law enforcement,” the company added.
