Yandex Shop began operating in Uzbekistan on November 25, 2024. This is the first CIS country to have this service. This was reported to RB.RU by the company’s press service.

Users can order groceries, household items, prepared meals, coffee, and hot meals. At first, about 3,000 items are available for order, including products from local manufacturers, the company said.
Dark stores operate dark kitchens: compact kitchens where food is prepared immediately before being delivered to the customer. The assortment includes about 50 hot dishes. Currently three dark shops operate in Tashkent. In 2025, Yandex Shop plans to expand its network to 12 warehouses.
The launch of the service in Uzbekistan was first known at the end of 2023, when RB.RU discovered on hh.ru a vacancy for a remote specialist to work at the Yandex Shop in Tashkent. The company then explained that the vacancy was posted by a partner and was not directly related to the service.
In August 2024, Yandex Shop filed trademark applications with the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan. Soon the “Shops” application appeared in one of the stores, but the local address and menu disappeared after a while. On November 22, outdoor advertising was seen in Tashkent announcing the imminent food delivery.
