Galaxy S25 appears on US certification with wireless charging dropped

More information about the Galaxy S25 series has been revealed in a certification from the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Three models in the series have been listed in preparation for launch in the North American country, with a drop in the base version even revealed.

To: FCC listings mention all three devices Galaxy S25 (SM-931U), Galaxy S25 Plus (SM-936U) and Galaxy S25 Ultra (SM-938U). Obviously they all support 5G connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS and NFC.

Ultra Wide Band (UWB) support is mentioned in the certificates, Feature needed to improve device tracking (e.g. smart tags and headphone cases). However, this function is not available on the base Galaxy S25.

To: Line upload speeds have also changed – and some for worse. It’s possible that the base Galaxy S25 will support 9W wireless charging instead of the 15W offered in the previous model.

However, wired charging for the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus and S25 Ultra has not changed. So, the cheapest ones go up to 25W, while larger models go up to 45W.

FCC certification Doesn’t mention details about battery capacitytherefore this information remains unclear. Additionally, previous leaks indicate that the set will have the same specifications as those that will be released in 2024.

A few months for Galaxy S25

It won’t be long before the new Galaxy S25 launches. Samsung usually launches its new generation mobile phones in the first quarter of the year, and if the rumors are true, the presentation is expected to be held in January.

It is expected that Samsung’s new operating system, One UI 7, will be launched along with the Galaxy S25. The update will reach the newest models of the series first, but will also reach older models within months.
