Huawei has announced that all its new devices from 2025 will be equipped with HarmonyOS Next.

At the moment, this OS is installed only on the Mate 70. The main reason for HarmonyOS Next is the lack of support for Android applications, and there is no way to bypass this limitation.

Now there are more than 15 thousand applications available for HarmonyOS Next. By the end of 2025, it is predicted that their number will reach 100 thousand. However, foreign developers whose applications do not take advantage of the greater opportunities in China are unlikely to be able to adapt their products to the new system.

HarmonyOS Next will only be available on Huawei smartphones and tablets intended for sale in China. In other countries, devices will run on regular HarmonyOS, which supports Android applications. [South China Morning Post]
