The greatest willingness to compensate for employee losses due to tax increases was demonstrated by companies in the areas of development (33%), technology and IT (27%), production of consumer goods (23%) and pharmaceuticals ( 20%). Credit institutions, on the other hand, do not plan any payments. Medium-sized companies actively support the idea of compensation: 33% of companies in this category are ready to take such measures. Among large companies, this figure is only 22%, and among small companies, 15%.

Another 40% of respondents have not yet made a decision, 36% do not plan to do anything, according to the results of the Kept survey.

Surveys conducted at other companies confirm similar trends, Vedomosti notes. For example, a Get Experts study showed that 30% of employers have not yet discussed the topic of compensation and 18% decided to focus on the actions of competitors. Only 13% of companies have already taken measures to support employees, while 30% believe that increasing personal income tax is solely a question of relations between citizens and the State.

Starting in 2025, an expanded five-tier personal income tax scale will begin operating in Russia. It will replace the current two-stage system. The tax rates will be as follows: 13% for income up to 2.4 million rubles per year, 15% – from 2.4 million to 5 million rubles, 18% – from 5 million to 20 million rubles, 20% – from 20 million to 50 million rubles and 22% for income over 50 million rubles. The changes will affect around 3% of the active population, that is, about 2.5 million people.

Exceptions will be made for citizens participating in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine. In addition, the amendments will not affect bonuses and additional payments to people working in the Far North regions and other places with unfavorable climatic and environmental conditions.

RB.RU found out how the new rules will affect ordinary Russian citizens, as well as what will change for companies.
