“Information has appeared in the media that the IT postponement will soon be cancelled. This is wrong. The postponement for IT specialists, including those in military service, remains in force, nothing changes here,” the message reads.
Reservations already issued for employees of IT companies remain valid until March 21, 2025. The message also says that after this date the reservations will be subject to new conditions, which will be notified to the industry later this year, and no special changes are planned.
“The general rules for hiring employees of companies in all sectors of the economy have been adapted. “We are talking about a list of conditions under which an organization is recognized as ensuring the sustainable functioning of the economy and receives, through a separate decision, the right to hire its employees,” the Ministry of Digital Development said in a statement. Therefore, only the employee hiring procedure will be subject to adjustments.
Previously, information about an alleged upcoming “secret resolution of the Ministry of Digital Development” began to spread on Telegram channels, which, from March 1, 2025, will cancel the postponement of mobilization for all IT specialists, except employees in defense. sector of the economy. For those working for government agencies, an employee reservation threshold was supposedly set at no more than 95%.
In September 2022, the Ministry of Digital Development introduced a partial mobilization postponement for IT specialists. It can be received by employees of state-accredited IT companies in 195 specialties.
