After a long wait and many rumors, Intel has confirmed that Intel Arc Battlemage graphics cards will be released this Tuesday (3). The two models, called Arc B570 and B580, reach the mid-range market with the Xe2 microarchitecture for gaming at 1080p and 1440p.
The Arc B580, the most powerful model in the series, runs on 20 Xe2 cores packed into 5 render slices. The chip also works with 20 units and 160 XMX AI Engines for Ray Tracing with a maximum operating frequency of 2,670 MHz.
For those interested in VRAM memory, the GPU has 12 GB with a 192-bit interface, which guarantees a bandwidth of approximately 450 GB/s. The board also has a TBP (Total Board Power) of 190W and is powered by a single 8-pin connector.
As for performance, Intel promises the Arc B580 is up to 24% better than the Arc A750 and up to 10% better than the RTX 4060, both at 1440p resolution. The graphics provided by the company show that the B580 is 1.43 times better than the Nvidia card in Cyberpunk 2077 and 1.33 times better in Resident Evil 4 Remake, but is below the 4060 in Counter-Strike 2.
B570 is simpler
On the other hand, Intel Arc B570 is a more reserved model that focuses on 1080p. For this chip, the company has added 18 Xe2 cores divided into five processing slices, 144 XMX AI Engines and a 2.5GHz clock speed. The memory is only 10 GB, now with 380 GB/s bandwidth and a 150-bit interface. W TBP.
The two graphics cards were manufactured using TSMC’s 5-nanometer lithography, marking the blue team’s starting point for the new GPU era. With the Intel Arc B series, you can expect versions of companies such as Acer, AsRock, Gunnr, Maxsun, Onix and Sparkle in the market.
As for the price, the Intel Arc B580 will cost $249 (about R$1,500 in direct conversion) and will be available for purchase starting December 13. The price of the Intel Arc B570 model is US$ 219 (R$ 1,300) and will be available on January 16, 2025.
