“From 2016 to 2023, I actively developed Venture Accelerator, a unique tool for finding and supporting promising startups. Today I decided to sell the project, as I left the venture market to fully concentrate on the development of my social project,” Rumyantsev said on his Facebook page*.

The founder and CEO of Venture Accelerator noted that the company was created as an investment mechanism using the “plant and pray” model: “We cover a large number of startups with small checks. This made it possible to minimize risks and find real “stars”.

According to Rumyantsev, in seven years of operation, Venture Accelerator has registered 25 thousand startup teams, 700 of which reached the finals of the accelerator and 60 received funding.

“I am willing to discuss the details with interested investors,” he added.

The legal entity of the project, Venture Accelerator LLC, was registered on August 20, 2019 in Moscow, as follows from Kontur.Focus data. As of January 2022, the sole owner of the LLC is its founder and CEO, Alexander Rumyantsev.

In June 2024, a message about the suspension of the project appeared on the Venture Accelerator website. It was noted that “the decision was made for internal reasons” and the founder Alexander Rumyantsev “decided to devote himself to other activities.”

As a private investor, Rumyantsev invested in projects such as RebrandyCo (a solution for checking the security of web and mobile applications), CarPhone (a service for renting personal parking spaces), “Let’s Order” (a marketplace for ordering food, flowers and other goods) and others.
