According to him, these are the first printers of this type made in Russia to appear on the market. Until now, Kuptsov says, these devices were produced only by foreign suppliers and supplied to Russia through parallel imports.
The line will include four devices that differ in automatic feeder power, printing and scanning speed. Sales of multifunction printers will begin in early 2025: the MC4501 and MC5501 models will appear on the market in the first quarter, and the MC2501 and MC3501 in the second quarter.
Until now, these printers were produced only by foreign suppliers and supplied to Russia through parallel imports, Kuptsov said in a conversation with the newspaper. He noted that Fplus assembles the multifunction printers at its own plant in the Moscow region and that the components are “partially” supplied from abroad. In Russia, the company carries out assembly line assembly, installation of its software and packaging.
Fplus focuses on the public sector and companies. Kuptsov expects that the new multifunction printers will be in demand in the banking, oil and manufacturing sectors for creating graphs, charts and tables.
Printing in A3 format is necessary for a small circle of users working with graphics – engineers, builders and designers, says Andrey Ilyichev, head of the printing equipment department of the Russian manufacturer Graviton.
In Russia there are no problems with the availability of these devices, since foreign manufacturers officially operate in the country, said experts interviewed by Vedomosti. At the same time, they did not exclude the possibility that state institutions and enterprises that previously had foreign equipment will now not be able to purchase new foreign equipment through government procurement.
