Despite initial successes and expanding service contracts with the UK military, LauncherOne’s first official test in May 2020 failed to deliver a payload into orbit. The company conducted a total of six flights between 2020 and 2023, of which only four were successful.

The latest launch attempt was to mark the first commercial space launch from UK soil. However, the rocket’s payload was unable to enter orbit due to an upper stage “anomaly” caused by a $100 fuel filter failure.

The company is currently seeking investors.
