The innovation appeared in the updated Pixel Troubleshooting application (version 1.0.693922709). Users can now check the temperature of the smartphone by going to the settings: Settings > Battery > Battery diagnostics > Phone too hot.

This feature is available on Pixel 6 and later smartphones, except the Pixel Tablet. Tests showed performance on Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL models.

The update is not yet available on Google Play but can be installed via an APK file.

Pixel devices, especially newer models like the Pixel 9, have previously been criticized for overheating. The new feature will help users monitor the health of their phones and avoid overheating problems.

The next generation Pixel 10 is expected to improve performance and reduce the need for this feature.
