The first arrivals are expected to be the updated Surface Pro and Surface Laptop, which will retain their current designs but feature the latest Intel processors. The Surface Laptop may also come with a card reader and optional 5G support. Anti-glare displays, which are not available on the latest Snapdragon X models, may make a comeback.
Microsoft is also preparing updates for the Surface Laptop Studio. The chip selection is not yet clear, but it is expected to meet the requirements of NPU Copilot+. A 16-inch version is reportedly being considered.
A new compact Surface device with an 11-inch display is also in development. Sources describe it as a smaller, premium Surface Laptop Go with Snapdragon X Plus hardware.
The updated Surface Pro and Laptop are expected to arrive in early 2025.
