The Norwegian company Vipps has launched the world’s first payment service that completely replaces Apple Pay on iPhone. The Vipps MobilePay app uses NFC to make payments and asset transactions at the touch of a device’s lock button.

The release of the application became possible after Apple began to comply with the EU Digital Markets Act. One of his requirements was to give component developers access to NFC and the ability to choose a default payment application.
