Advertising expenses of Chinese game studios on RuStore in the third quarter of 2024 increased five times compared to the first quarter and the average bill increased by 40%. Chinese developers are more actively promoting role-playing and strategy games, among applications in other categories, entertainment is the leader, the press service noted.

In June, RuStore stated that a third of the online store’s 40,000 apps belong to foreign developers. In the lead are Chinese companies, many of which “come with exclusive offers for the Russian market,” followed by Belarusian, Kazakh and Azerbaijani developers, a representative of the platform noted.

At the end of July, RuStore launched foreign registration to allow foreign independent developers to upload their products to the store. The main features of the developer console and development and promotion tools are available to non-residents: responses to user reviews, application statistics and other features.

RuStore is developed by VK, the online store is available on Android, Harmony OS and Aurora OS. According to its own data, the service has more than 40 thousand games and applications from developers from 40 countries.
