YouTube adds Spanish dubbing to hundreds of thousands of videos

YouTube released a feature that adds Automatic dubbing of videos into Spanish in another language. A few months after the presentation, the company announced that its new AI-powered feature is ready and will be applied to certain content on the platform. According to a post on the company’s official blog, YouTube will apply automatic dubbing to hundreds of thousands of videos of your platform. Those who participate in the affiliate program focused on the “Knowledge and Information” category will be the first to have access to it. Content creators won’t have to do anything because YouTube will dub the track in other languages.

Automatic dubbing will be available in Spanish, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese and Portuguese. if the original content is in English. If your video is in Spanish or any other language, YouTube will create a track in English. The company mentioned that These videos will be labeled as “auto-dubbed”.which will allow you to identify those that have this feature.

YouTube warns that technology is new and not always perfectwhich means we could find errors in speaker translation or modulation. The latter is notable because the automatic dubbing imitates the voice of the original author using Gemini artificial intelligence.
