Starting December 15, Russian Railways will resume passenger services with North Korea and China, which were suspended for four years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The trains will run from the Primorsky Territory, according to the Russian Railways Telegram channel.

“With the introduction of the traffic schedule for 2024-2027, the operation of international trains No. 402/401 Suifenhe – Grodekovo of the Chinese Railways and No. 645/646 of the Tumangan – Khasan connection of the Ministry of Railways of the DPRK resumes,” the statement said.
Transportation to China will be carried out daily starting December 15: from Suifenhe (China) at 10:00 local time, from Grodekovo (Russia) at 17:43 local time.
The connection with the DPRK will operate again on December 16, the train will depart three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays: from Tumangan – at 12:00 local time, from Khasan – at 15:30 local time.
Russian Railways announced in September the resumption of rail traffic with the DPRK and the People’s Republic of China. The company noted that the resumption of transportation between countries will increase the flow of tourists.
