This figure is 1 percent less than the same period last year. Apple’s iOS comes in second with 16%. HarmonyOS from Huawei ranks third with a share of 4 percent.
The growth of HarmonyOS is particularly notable in China, where it has surpassed iOS in terms of popularity. But Android remains the leader in the country.
Outside of China, the Chinese company’s operating system is much less common due to the brand’s limited presence in international markets.
Positions are different in other markets. For example, in the US, Android and iOS share the market almost equally, while in India, Android has over 90% market share, leaving iOS with just 5%.
