Only 1.8 m long and with a wingspan of 1.5 m, this vehicle is powered by electric jet engines that can reach speeds of over 322 km/h. CobraJet uses electric turbines to generate thrust, mimicking advanced VTOL lift systems developed by companies such as Lockheed Martin.
This unmanned interceptor is said to have stealth capabilities including low infrared signature and “anti-jamming” communications. It can work day and night in harsh conditions such as sand, salt water and dust. CobraJet’s arsenal includes the 30mm VIPER missile, which can neutralize drones with kinetic strike or electric shock.
Despite the claims, CobraJet’s current status remains a secret, with only digital images and promises available. The company aims to introduce CobraJet in the second quarter of next year.
