The Delta emulator became the first app in the latest App Store to support third-party payment.
This is implemented as follows: a link is added in the application leading to the developer’s website to make a purchase. After the user makes a purchase, he returns to the application.
Delta is currently a well-known app that has received this feature, although Apple announced this feature back in January 2024. The ability to pay for electronic purchases using the App Store is only available for applications from a well-known store. To activate this feature, developers need to file a warranty claim with Apple.
These changes had to be made independently after a trial with Epic Games. Interestingly, Apple still charges a fee for payments on sites: 12% for participants in the App Store Small Business Program and 27% for other applications. [9to5Mac]
