As a result of the plane crash in Kazakhstan, 10 Russians were injured and are in hospitals in the city of Aktau, where they are receiving medical care, the press service of the Russian Embassy in Astana informed RIA Novosti.

TASS, citing the diplomatic mission, writes that 14 citizens of Azerbaijan and two citizens of Kyrgyzstan also survived the plane crash. The nationalities of three more victims have not yet been established. The Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan told RBC that a total of 32 people survived.
According to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations, there were initially 69 people on the plane, including five crew members. Of them, 42 are citizens of Azerbaijan, 16 are citizens of Russia, six are citizens of Kazakhstan and three are citizens of Kyrgyzstan. The citizenship of two more people is still unknown.
Based on the fact of the plane crash, the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a case under Article 263 of the Criminal Code (violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of air transport), the department’s Telegram channel reports. The Investigative Commission is carrying out investigative actions, trying to establish the circumstances, causes and conditions of what happened.
