Throughout the year, the billionaire’s planes made 355 flights, 31 of them to Palm Beach International Airport, located about eight kilometers from Trump’s residence in Mar-a-Lago, and vice versa. However, it is unknown whether Musk was on each of these flights and whether he may have flown to Palm Beach for reasons other than meetings with a politician, the publication noted.

25 of the 31 flights to Palm Beach were made after Trump won the presidential election, and the remaining flights were made between February and March, JetSpy data shows. Business Insider writes that Musk was photographed with Trump several times at Mar-a-Lago, including at Thanksgiving dinner.

The businessman’s two planes burned about $2.5 million worth of fuel a year and also emitted about 4,000 tons of carbon dioxide. According to the International Energy Agency, this is about 250 times more than the average American emits into the atmosphere over a lifetime.

Elon Musk is an active supporter of Donald Trump. The billionaire also supported the politician in the November elections, donating at least $260 million to the president-elect, CNN reported.

In early November, the Financial Times wrote that Trump had chosen a position for the billionaire: he would head the Department of Government Efficiency, which would deal with consulting, reducing bureaucracy and costs, easing regulation and restructuring of government departments.
