The notifications came from major manufacturers, including Chernogolovka, Sady Pridonya, Borjomi and Rychal-su. A newspaper source at a large retail chain confirmed the information about the price increase and said that the biggest price increase should be expected for soft drinks. The companies declined to comment to Kommersant about the price increase.

The producer of the Dobry brand, Multon Partners (formerly Coca-Cola HBC), will increase prices of non-alcoholic products by an average of 9.1%, according to the newspaper, and the price of coffee will increase by 11.3%. Previously, representatives of the coffee industry told RBC that in 2025 Russians should expect an increase in the price of Arabica and Robusta varieties due to the weakening of the ruble and the rapid increase in coffee prices caused by severe weather conditions in Brazil and Vietnam.

The sales prices of Rychal-su and Mever mineral waters produced by the Rychal-su company will increase by 15%. In a letter to retailers, the supplier explained the price increase due to the increase in production costs, the persistence of high inflation and the weakness of the ruble exchange rate. In Borjomi, the reasons for the price increase were, among other things, the high interest rate of the Central Bank, as well as the increase in warehouse and logistics costs, including staff salaries.

Distributor Market-Trade, on the other hand, attributed the rise in wholesale prices to increased excise taxes on non-alcoholic beverages containing sugar. In October this year, the State Duma approved an increase in tax rates on sweet drinks from 7 rubles per liter to 10 rubles per liter, and also included isotonic drinks, vitamin drinks and kvass under the excise tax.

According to the director of Aqua-White, Alexey Voinov, the soft drink market is rather inelastic and consumers, as a rule, quickly notice changes in pricing policy. Since soft drinks and juices are not essential items and market buyers show little loyalty to these brands, the price increase can negatively affect demand, the expert emphasized.

A week earlier, an increase in raw milk prices from 1.5 to 3 rubles per liter became known: raw dairy products have already increased in price by almost a third compared to 2023 due to the inability of supply to meet the growing demand.
