According to science, most male animals prefer their left paw, while most female animals prefer their right paw.
Approximately 85-90% of people prefer to use their right hand. The same goes for chimpanzees, gorillas, baboons and ring-tailed lemurs. However, Sichuan’s golden snub-nosed monkeys, de Brazza monkeys and orangutans mostly use their left hands when they need to do something.
Additionally, langurs live in trees but are mostly “right-handed,” whereas Hanuman’s langurs live on the ground and are mostly “left-handed.” Shiny black cockatoos grasp seed cones with their left foot, walruses prefer to use their right flippers to find shellfish, and red-necked wallabies often reach for food with their right paws.
