Yandex’s cloud gaming service Plus Gaming has released a second beta version that expands its usage possibilities. The platform can now run on Chromium-based browsers and supports all major desktop operating systems, including Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS. The updates were made, among other things, to increase user convenience and optimize the service.

One of the main innovations was the redesigned flow system. Clients no longer need to be installed on a PC; games can be launched directly via the browser. Previously, the service only supported Windows, but now Plus Gaming also works on macOS, 14.1.2+, Ubuntu 18.04+ and ChromeOS, 109+, which significantly expands the audience. In addition, the developers updated the web application interface and improved the stability of the service in desktop versions of browsers such as Chrome, Edge and Yandex Browser.

Plus Gaming’s testing started in April 2024. For the service to work fully, you will need a stable Internet with a minimum speed of 30 Mbit/s. It is important to note that although the service supports other browsers, working in these browsers may lead to errors.
