Apple has allegedly limited production of the Vision Pro. Previously it was reported about a decrease in solar energy and a reduction in production volumes.

The Information reported in October that Apple had sharply scaled back headset production and planned to discontinue the current version of the device entirely by the end of 2024. This may mean that no larger device has been manufactured at this time.

According to sources involved in the creation of components for headsets, the reduction in volumes began in early summer. This indicates that Apple has accumulated enough Vision Pro in stock to support demand until 2025. This practice is not uncommon for Apple regarding low-demand products on the iPhone 12 mini.

It is believed that weak demand for Vision Pro is due to a lack of content and high price. According to The Information, Vision Pro suppliers have shown enough components for 500,000–600,000 headsets. Some factories suspended component production back in May due to Apple’s weak sales forecasts, and there are still tens of thousands of unshipped parts sitting in warehouses.
