Instead, a more expensive version with an M5 chip could be released at the end of 2026.
Apple CEO Tim Cook justified the low sales by saying the device was aimed at a narrow audience who wanted to experience future technology today. However, judging by the sales, there were few such people, and the high price had a significant impact on the choice of buyers.
