Samsung’s new Ballie home robot will be released this yearSamsung announced it during CES 2025. The price or release date of the companion, which will be introduced at the conference in 2020, has not been announced yet, but it will come to the United States first.

THE Ballie is a global robot from Samsung with artificial intelligence to accompany you at home. Just like a smart speaker, it listens to and interprets voice commands to manage smart devices such as lamps, sockets, and curtains.

But unlike a smart speaker, Ballie is mobile and uses its three wheels to move around the house and follow the user wherever they are. Moreover, thanks to its integrated projector, the small robot can give warnings from anywhere in the house and even continue video calls.

Expanding user interaction capabilities, Ballie’s sensors and cameras capture the user’s feet as “virtual buttons.” Feet can be used to complete tasks and request more information.

artificial intelligence home robots not new on the marketbut these are often very expensive products with very limited access. One of the best-known examples of the category is Astro, which Amazon announced in 2021 and is available today to invitees only.

with Ballie Samsung’s strategy shouldn’t be much different. The company did not provide details about the price or launch date of the new robot, but it will initially be sold only in the United States and may not reach other markets anytime soon.

In any case, Ballie should not be a cheap product. To give you an idea, Amazon’s Astro costs $1,600 (R$9,670 with direct conversion by Wise).
