PUBG game was running with a low preset. At 4K, the average FPS difference between the 9800X3D and 5700X3D was 100 fps in favor of the older model, 1440p – 126 fps, 1080p – 139 fps.

The situation was similar in Fortnite. The 9800X3D also pulled ahead quite strongly. In 4K – at 155 fps, in 1440p – at 173 fps and in 1080p – at 168 fps.

However, in Cyberpunk and RDR 2, the situation was exactly the opposite. The top-end 9800X3D didn’t perform much better than the 5700X3D in terms of average frame rate. For example, in Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K – 4% (134 and 129 fps), at 1440p – 19% (227 and 191 fps).
