LG introduced a new monitor with advanced 6K resolution at CES 2025.

The LG UltraFine 6K display was the first 6K monitor to include Thunderbolt 5. There are no exact specifications yet, there is only a small teaser from the Koreans, which shows very thin frames.

For comparison, the Apple Pro Display XDR has a resolution of 6016 x 3384 pixels with a diagonal of 32 inches. This is equivalent to 20.4 million pixels and 218 pixels per inch.

Based on the model number 32U990A, it’s safe to say that the new monitor is a 32-inch panel. The device is also said to feature a Nano IPS Black display with a wide color gamut covering 99.5% Adobe RGB and 98% DCI-P3.

The company will publish more technical specifications later.
