Anne Altman, sister of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, sued him.

The lawsuit alleges that Sam regularly sexually abused her from 1997 to 2006, starting when Anne was three years old and Sam was 12, and all this continued until he became an adult. The document also states that Sam engaged in sexual pleasure several times a week.

This resulted in “severe emotional distress, mental anguish and depression, which the judge said will continue into the future.” The sister is seeking a jury trial and more than $75,000 in damages to the community.

Ann had previously made a similar accusation against Sam, but that was only on social media. This is the first time she has filed a lawsuit.

Sam Altman, his mother and brothers deny all charges.

Annie made deeply hurtful and completely false statements about our family, and especially Sam. We decided not to appear publicly due to our privacy and our own lives. However, she has now sued Sam and we feel like we have no choice but to deal with it.

The family’s statement said Anne was facing “mental health issues” and was “refusing traditional treatment and lashing out at family members who were sincerely trying to help.” She has made false accusations against various family members over the years, demanding money from them. [The Verge]
