A visitor to such a facility is not immune from contracting dangerous infections, including salmonellosis. The doctor explained why this can happen.

Zhemchugov noted that, as a rule, there is no infection in sea fish added to sushi. However, the fish are not only caught in the open sea, but also grown in cages where pathogens can accumulate.

Also, fish and other sushi ingredients can be cut on the same cutting boards that poultry is processed on, but the bird can still get an infection, usually salmonellosis.

The immunologist urged people to be careful about the products they consume. If the slightest doubt arises, it is better to refuse use.
