The new companion, called PUBG Ally, will offer a unique gaming experience that can perceive, plan and act like a real player.
Ally will help players find loot, manage vehicles, give strategic advice, and battle opponents.
Thanks to small language models (SLM), the character understands game terminology, hears sound signals and analyzes the environment for more realistic behavior.
In addition to PUBG, ACE-based NPCs will also appear in other games. Naraka: Bladepoint will get AI companions in 2025, and in Krafton’s ZOI life simulator, CPCs will interact with players as “intelligent assistants.”
NVIDIA promises that such characters can adapt to the style of the game and act as true allies or enemies.
