Google recently announced that Gemini AI will be available on Google TV and Wear OS, which makes us think about Apple’s plans. Yes, Apple Intelligence is rolling out in phases, but many of the features like text summarization and ChatGPT’s integration with Siri aren’t designed for media authoring devices like Apple TV or Apple Watch.
But there is a problem; hardware. Apple Intelligence processes privacy data on the device, which requires powerful chips. The latest Apple TV model uses the A15 chip, and new models aren’t expected until at least 2025. Likewise, analysts say the Apple Watch is still too weak to support artificial intelligence.
