The Presidential Administration registered the trademark for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory

Rospatent received the registration application on December 13, 2024. The decision was made in a very short time: two weeks. The Rospatent website states that the total term for the provision of public services in terms of acceptance, registration, examination of an application and issuance of a trademark certificate is usually about 18 weeks.

The rights to the trademark will be valid until 2034. In May 2025, Russia will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The last time the Department of Presidential Administration registered a trademark was in 2023; then it was the brand “Putin’s Popular Front Team”. In 2020, the Office registered the “75 Years of Victory” poster for the first time. Until now, no signs of this type related to the Victory had been recorded, according to data from Focus Contour.

Registration of a trademark allows violators to be held not only to administrative responsibility, but also to “punish them with rubles”: the copyright owner has the right to go to court and recover compensation of up to 5 million rubles or double of the cost. of goods (services) under Article 1515 of the Civil Code (liability for illegal use of a trademark sign), Olga Bondareva, founder of the Ezybrand patent office, patent attorney No. 2104, explained to RB.RU .

The official logo of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War was first presented on the Kremlin’s Telegram channel in November.

In November, RB.RU learned that Rospatent had registered the “Stalingrad” trademark at the request of the State Property Management Committee of the Volgograd Region. The mark can be used for oil, gas, oils, gasoline, coal, biofuels, petroleum jelly, wax, fuel briquettes and other hydrocarbon derivatives.
