At an event held this Tuesday (14), Samsung announced the national launch of the Galaxy Book4 Edge for the Brazilian market. The model comes at a price of around R$ 8,000 and is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Plus chip, fully certified for Copilot+ PC.
This laptop was first launched in the global market in September last year, but it reached the national market only with the Snapdragon X Plus option with octa-core configuration. This model also has 16 GB LPDDR5x RAM at 4,224 MT/s with support for another 16 GB module and a 512 GB SSD with no expansion option.
The screen has noticeable differences compared to the global version, which maintains its 15.6-inch size but now uses an LED panel with Full HD resolution, very different from its older siblings. Led by two 1.5W speakers, there is compatibility with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3 and Dolby Atmos technology to improve sound quality.
Snapdragon focuses on artificial intelligence
The thing that attracted the most attention in this announcement was Snapdragon X Plus, which came to popularize Qualcomm processors in national territories. The model features Copilot ease, translation, video conferencing effects, noise reduction, etc. It offers 45 AI TOPS (Trillion Operations Per Second) to perform AI-related tasks such as.
For batteries, the Galaxy Book4 Edge uses four 61.2Wh cells that provide 27 hours of video playback and a 30% charge in 45 minutes. As for side connections, there are two USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4, one USB Type-A 3.2, HDMI 2.1, headphone/microphone jack and MicroSD card reader.
Galaxy Book4 Edge is available for pre-order with deliveries starting February 3 and a recommended price of R$ 7,999.00. Anyone who makes purchases on Samsung’s official website will receive a laptop and Galaxy Buds 3 headset combination at a special price for purchases made until February 8.
