SUNWIND EF-30220 is a rectangular container with a lid and a handle, the latter, depending on its position, forms a padlock that prevents the lid from opening. The design is very concise, there is not even an informative sticker anywhere (in fact it is inside), there is only a small logo on one side.

In fact, everything interesting is at the top. The cover, in addition to being a cover, can turn on the device, as well as select the operating mode. It has a simple control panel, consisting of a two-position switch to select the operating mode, as well as a rotary knob with power off. You can see that besides cooling, SUNWIND EF-30220 can also heat. But we will come back to this later.

From above you can see two ventilation grilles, in one you can see a centrifugal impeller, in the other part you can see the radiator, which undoubtedly belongs to the Peltier element, since the operation of this device is based on it. The manual is brief, it repeats part of the information on the box, so it will take you very little time to read it.

Exploitation

The first thing to do with any device, at least in some way, even indirectly, in contact with food and drink is to clean it. Then, after drying a bit, we turn it on and turn it on in different modes.

When cooling the blue LED lights up, when heating the red one, there are no surprises here. The handle adjusts the intensity of work. It will be impossible to determine what temperature, in what mode, unless you conduct such an experiment yourself. But most likely, during operation two positions are used, off and full on. Which is exactly what I did.

In cooling, the maximum consumption is set at 59.1 W, while in heating 62.5 W. Those. Roughly fits the stated 60 watts. At the same time, the noise is noticeable, but in the conditions of a moving car, it will most likely not be possible to hear it. And now the most interesting thing is what temperatures can be obtained using this device.

When it cooled down, it gave me a temperature of 11.7 to 13.3 degrees Celsius, which it gained in 1 hour and 20 minutes. It was difficult to control the thermocouple, because the cap fits perfectly, and the wires just got pinched, and I don’t have any wireless sensors. I didn’t put a weather station inside. The average temperature is 12.5 degrees. The ambient temperature was almost 29 degrees, which means that the difference was 16 degrees, which practically fits the declared one (18, which could be obtained in milder conditions).

When heated, the maximum temperature recorded was 62.1 and 56.4 degrees, giving an average of 59 degrees. It also almost fits the declared one (65, which could also be obtained under certain conditions).

In any case, both ways are workable and I 100% agree with the note in the instructions that it is better to place the prepared product in the device. Those. when it cools down, we put it cold, when it warms up, it heats up, in this case we get the maximum benefit from the device. It is necessary to clearly understand the capabilities of the SUNWIND EF-30220 and what it is for. This is not a microwave oven that can quickly heat up food or a freezer that can quickly chill drinks. This is more of a thermos with the ability to maintain a relatively high or low temperature. 60 degrees for food is more than enough, as is 13 degrees for drinks.

Let’s measure the interior space.

The internal dimensions turned out to be 39.5 * 33-29 * 24 cm, which gives the same volume of 30 liters. When choosing containers for cooling, it must be taken into account that the space at the bottom is slightly narrower than at the top.

A 1.5 liter water bottle may not fit horizontally, i.e. lying. But they are very different in height, so you can choose. In any case, 6 pieces lift easily and the space between them can be filled with a smaller container.
