Google He’s a search monster, has been for the past fifteen years, and it doesn’t look like his influence will wane, leaving the crown vacant.
However, for the first time in four years, market share fell below 90%.

According to Search engineStatcounter statistics show that Google’s global search market share has fallen below 90% in each of the last three months. In particular, in October it was 89.34%, in November 89.99% and in December 89.73%.
The most interesting thing about this development is that it is the first time that Google has failed to capture 90% of the market in a three-month period since the first quarter of 2015, almost exactly 10 years ago.
Of course, the report doesn’t seem to make it clear where the traffic that Google is losing is coming from: Some have speculated that Microsoft’s Bing took a cut, as did Yandex.
Bing ranked second in market share in December, although it accounted for just under 4% of online searches.
