The changes include the elimination of work experience requirements for skilled trades and remote workers. The new standards focus on qualifications, income level of employees and work in prestigious foreign organizations, the publication writes.
Additionally, the program has reduced the minimum income requirement for foreign employers of remote workers from $150 million to $50 million over the past three years. The authorities will also reduce the income tax of highly qualified specialists hired by Thai companies to 17%.
Previously, Thailand passed a bill to legalize casinos and gambling in order to stimulate tourist flows and create new jobs. If the document is approved by Parliament, the creation of casinos and gambling houses in large entertainment complexes will be allowed.
Additionally, a pilot project will be launched in 2025 in Phuket, Thailand, to provide tourists with the opportunity to pay for goods and services using cryptocurrencies, in particular Bitcoin. To do this, tourists must register with the local exchange and undergo identity verification.
