Gazprombank conducted a study to find out how Russians feel about artificial intelligence (AI) and how willing they are to trust it for financial management. The results showed increased trust in technology: 76% of respondents support the use of artificial intelligence to optimize spending, and 20% are ready to completely transfer their financial management to neural networks.

The number of Russians familiar with artificial intelligence is increasing every year. This year, 80% of respondents said they have used technologies such as chatbots, rendering or data analysis in practice. The level of understanding of the capabilities of neural networks increased by 14 percentage points, reaching 65%.

Russians are confident that AI can handle everyday tasks: 70% of respondents are ready to delegate various processes to AI. Among financial tasks, recommendations on systematization of expenses (80%) and assessment of income levels (78%) are in particular demand. Interest in using AI for investment and philanthropy has also increased significantly.

The increase in trust is especially noticeable among those who have already used AI-based financial solutions. A year ago this was only 6%, now it is 15%. At the same time, the number of those who prefer to manage their finances completely on their own has decreased: their share fell from 58% to 44%.

Participants also expressed a willingness to trust banks, large IT companies, and government developers to build neural networks. The share of trust in the latter increased from 17% to 22%. The average amount that people were willing to trust in artificial intelligence was 25.4 thousand rubles and up to 30.9 thousand rubles for investments.
