According to insider information, the new Apple Watch models are expected to be useful, including for hypertensive patients. We are talking about the Series 11 and Ultra 3 models that will be equipped with a blood pressure detection function.
Apple has been working on blood pressure tracking for a long time, but there were previously issues that prevented the company from offering this type of functionality. Blood pressure monitoring on the Apple Watch is expected to work without the need for cuff use, as previously thought. It is technically extremely difficult to attach a micro cuff to a watch and the seller has apparently abandoned the idea.
Allegedly, Apple Watch will use sensors instead. As mentioned, the introduction of a new function does not guarantee accurate pressure measurements; most likely the watch will only inform the user when an increase in pressure is detected and suggest a more accurate measurement using the cuff.
